Federal Way to Expand Automated Speed Enforcement to 24/7 Operations in Four School Zones
The City of Federal Way is expanding its automated enforcement program to improve safety and reduce speeding in high-risk areas. Beginning in November, existing speed cameras in four school zones will begin operating around the clock, enforcing applicable speed limits beyond school hours.
Heat advisory issued for Western Washington this weekend; the City of Federal Way provides Community Cooling Center
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Washington State, effective from Saturday, May 13, to Monday, May 15. The year's highest temperatures will reach the 80s and 90s across Western Washington.
The Federal Way Community Center (FWCC) will serve as a cooling space during regular business hours anytime excessive heat warnings are in effect for our service area. This service is available to everyone who seeks relief from the heat.
