A Block Watch program is just a group of neighbors who are all committed to watching out for one another, their neighborhood and partnering with the police department. Citizenβs Academy ( please check here for updates on start dates) Citizenβs Academy offers members of the Federal Way Community a better understanding of the policies and procedures of the Federal Way Police Department. Participants learn about the men and women protecting their community and why they make the decisions they do. Class meets one evening a week for 8 weeks. Classroom sessions cover the basic functions of the Police Department: patrol, traffic, investigations and support services. Participates must be 18 years or older to attend.
