PROJECT LOCATION
This project is being designed and constructed in two phases.
Phase 1: S 288th St - Military Rd S to 34th Ave S
Phase 2: S 288th St - 16th Ave S to Military Rd S
PROJECT SCOPE
This project constructs a continuous bicycle and ADA-accessible pedestrian route along S 288th St between 16th Ave S and 34th Ave S, mid-block pedestrian crossings, and replacement of the traffic signal at Military Road. For the most part, the existing curb and gutter, as well as existing sidewalks, will remain as-is. This is a "road diet" project that will convert S 288th St from two vehicle lanes in each direction, to a single lane in each direction along with a two-way-left-turn lane and bicycle lanes.
Additional information on road diets can be found HERE.
