Recycling Resources
The City of Federal Way has drop-off sites for items that are not accepted in curbside recycling. This helps to keep products out of the landfill and these resources are offered for free. Cooking Oil Dropoff
Used cooking oil can now be dropped off at the collection site at French Lake Dog Park! Bring your used cooking oil and put in the black collection container. Battery Recycling Sites
Batteries should not be placed in the trash, and instead can be dropped off for recycling at many spots around Federal Way. These locations are available for free drop-off around the city:

Styrofoam & Plastic Film Dropoff
Styrofoam and plastic film can now be recycled in the lobby at Federal Way City Hall! Accepted items include:
- Styrofoam Blocks
- Bagged Packing Peanuts
- Plastic Grocery Bags
- Plastic Film
- Plastic Packaging Materials
