Mayor Jim Ferrell is working with FUSION to help keep the Federal Way community warm due to extended cold temperatures.
The City of Federal Way is partnering with FUSION to activate a severe weather shelter tonight, Monday, Dec. 2. FUSIONβs shelter will temporarily accommodate homeless individuals based on availability at 1505 S. 328th Street, Federal Way, 98003.
The FUSION shelter will be open from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. Please note no pets are allowed inside the FUSION shelter, but snacks and water will be provided. No one will be allowed in or out of the shelter after 10 p.m. tonight.
"Keeping residents safe is our top priority in Federal Way," said Ferrell. "We are proud to partner with FUSION Transitional Housing to activate the emergency cold shelter to provide a place for people to stay warm as temperatures fall overnight.β
