The City’s Surface Water Management (SWM) Division works hard to reduce flooding and prevent stormwater pollution from entering our waterways. Every year we review our programs and outline our plan for the upcoming year in the Stormwater Management Program Plan (SWMP). We encourage the public to review the SWMP and provide their feedback either in person or in writing.

SWM will hold a Public Input Meeting from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm on January 29th, 2020 at the King County Public Library on 1st Way S. The meeting is an opportunity for residents to learn about what SWM is doing to keep our lakes and streams clean in Federal Way, and to provide feedback on what program improvements they would like to see in 2020.
