The City of Federal Way is partnering with GreenSheen to recycle latex paint from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 in the City Hall North Parking Lot at 700 S 333rd St, Federal Way. There is a cash-only recycling fee charged per container: $1.25 per quart, $2.25 per gallon and $11.25 per 5-gallon container. Only latex (water-based) paint will be accepted at the event. Paint should be in original packaging with secure lid. Please do not mix colors or products.
No oil-based paints or stains will be accepted at the event. They are considered hazardous and need to be disposed of properly. Oil-based paints and stains can be accepted at no cost from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at the Hazardous Wastemobile located in the outside loading dock near Nordstrom Rack at 1100 Outlet Collection Way, Auburn. Canβt make this event? Dried-out latex paint can be disposed in your garbage can. Liquid latex paint can also be taken to Northshore Ace Hardware located at 35419 21st Ave SW, Federal Way. Please call 253-835-5052 for current recycling fees.
