Only clean white Styrofoam blocks can be accepted. To identify Styrofoam blocks, look for the #6 or “EPS” inside the recycling symbol. Or, bend the material – it should snap fairly easily, and release tiny beads. Please remove all labels and tape from Styrofoam before recycling.

NO Styrofoam cups, food or meat trays, foam sheeting, plastic wrap, plastic bags, urethane foam cushions, expanded polypropylene, foam insulation, hot tub covers, or any other plastics. NO commercial quantities accepted at this event.

Staff are available to unload, so you may remain in your vehicle. If you must exit your vehicle, please wear a mask.

The City of Federal Way Recycling is sponsoring this event to collect unwanted Styrofoam for recycling. Thank you to the Washington State Department of Ecology and the King County Solid Waste Division for providing grant funding to support this event and allow free participation.
