The City Attorney represents the City in its daily operations and provides legal advice to the Federal Way City Council, Mayor, city staff, and boards and commissions that make up the municipal government of the City of Federal Way. The City Attorney’s Office consists of two divisions: Civil and Prosecution.
Civil Division
The Civil Division is responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to the City's elected and appointed officials.
Prosecution Division
The Prosecution Division is responsible for the prosecution of criminal misdemeanors and traffic infractions filed in the Federal Way Municipal Court and providing help through the legal process for victims of domestic violence.
